GAL GAGE Cat No. 4

The G.A.L. Gage Cat No. 4 Bridge Cam Gauge is a versatile welding inspection tool used to measure various aspects of a weld in both inches and millimeters.

Measurement Capabilities
The Cat No. 4 gauge can perform up to seven different types of measurements on welded surfaces and joints:

• Angle of preparation: Measures angles from 0° to 60°.
• Excess weld metal (capping size): Also known as weld reinforcement.
• Depth of undercut: Measures the depth of grooves next to the weld.
• Depth of pitting: Measures the depth of small depressions.
• Fillet weld throat dimension: Measures the distance from the joint root to the weld face.
• Fillet weld leg length: Measures the leg length of the weld.
• Misalignment (high-low): Measures the offset of plates or pipes.
